The Nest Day Center has quickly become an essential resource for the Lansing community. Individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability can access basic necessities and connect with services that help address the underlying barriers keeping them from stable housing.

Homelessness looks different for every person. It can be a family whose rent increased beyond what they could afford. A veteran struggling to regain stability. Someone who lost employment and quickly fell behind. A person leaving an unsafe situation. Or someone who has spent years navigating homelessness, disability, behavioral health challenges, or other significant barriers. The Nest exists to meet people where they are.

Donate Essential Items

Your gift helps keep our Day Center open, our meals available, our shelter safe, our case managers collaborating with participants, and our organization focused on long-term sustainability and solutions. There are many ways to help: make a financial contribution, sponsor a program, provide essential supplies, volunteer, establish a corporate partnership, or introduce The Nest to others who believe in our mission. Together, we can do more than respond to homelessness. We can create pathways out of it.
